Slopes, a popular mobile application for winter sports enthusiasts, has announced a partnership with Ikon Pass. According to a recent article by SnowBrains, this collaboration aims to provide a more integrated and comprehensive tracking experience for skiers and snowboarders who frequent Ikon Pass destinations.
The integration between Slopes and Ikon Pass offers several benefits for users of both platforms:
- Unified Logbook: Ikon Pass holders can now sync their ski and snowboard activities recorded through the Ikon Pass app into Slopes' Logbook. This creates a centralized hub for all on-mountain activity, providing a complete season history.
- Advanced Analytics: Slopes' advanced analytics tools can now be applied to Ikon Pass data, offering detailed breakdowns of distance, time, vertical, and speed. This allows users to gain deeper insights into their performance on the slopes.
- Memories and Highlights: Users can create shareable season recaps and view lifetime stats within the Slopes app, using data from both Slopes and Ikon Pass recordings.
- Social Features: The integration allows users to compete and compare their stats with friends within the Slopes app.
For Slopes users skiing or snowboarding at Ikon Pass destinations, the integration means:
- No Double-Tracking: Recording activities in Slopes at Ikon Pass resorts will automatically sync the data to the Ikon Pass app, ensuring full credit for Achievements and Leaderboard standings.
- Complete Coverage: Every run, whether during Ikon Pass events or regular resort days, can be captured in Slopes with photos, highlights, and lifetime stats, while simultaneously updating Ikon Pass standings.
Curtis Herbert, founder of Slopes, stated that the goal is to provide the best of both worlds to their shared user base, eliminating compromises on leaderboard standings or missing data. The partnership ensures a complete picture of the user's season, regardless of which app they use to record their activities, according to SnowBrains.
The Slopes app is available for free download on iOS and Android devices. Slopes Premium, a paid subscription, unlocks advanced analytics, interactive 2D and 3D resort maps, and other additional features.
