While the base depth is reported at 8 inches, the mountain presents a varied profile. The upper elevations maintain a more robust snowpack, with the summit recording 114 inches and the mid-mountain area sitting at 60 inches. Visitors should expect variable snow conditions as the resort approaches its projected closing date of April 26.

Recent days have seen light, intermittent precipitation, with a total of 11 inches of new snow recorded over the past week. These conditions are typical for this time of year in the Chugach State Park region, where the terrain is known for its steep, glacier-carved topography.
