Brian Head Resort in southern Utah has officially wrapped up its daily lift operations for the 2025-26 winter season. According to reporting by SnowBrains, the resort concluded its daily schedule on Sunday, April 26, marking the end of a robust 159-day run that began back on November 21, 2025.
This season was notable for its longevity, with the resort holding the distinction of being the first in Utah to open for the winter. Despite the shift away from daily skiing, enthusiasts still have one last opportunity to hit the slopes. Brian Head has announced a final bonus weekend scheduled for May 2 and 3.
The highlight of this closing period is the 'Mountain May-Hem' event, which will take place on Saturday, May 2. Centered around the Giant Steps base area, the festivities aim to provide a lively atmosphere for the final days of the season. The resort is incentivizing participation through a series of giveaways and raffles.
To participate in the raffle, guests are encouraged to:
- Load the Giant Steps Express lift between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
- Wear a costume, with the resort explicitly noting that jorts are acceptable attire.
- Join the group photo session at the top of chair 2 at noon.
Each lift ticket scan serves as an entry into the raffle, with additional entries granted to those who arrive in costume. Prizes available for lucky participants include lift tickets, a one-night stay at the Brian Head Lodge, and a weekday season pass for the upcoming year. For those looking to enjoy the atmosphere, a live DJ will be performing at the Giant Steps Lodge from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Guests are encouraged to check the official Mountain May-Hem event page for any further updates or logistical details as they prepare for the final turns of the season.
