As the snow melts in the Swiss Alps, Crans-Montana is marking the end of the winter season by pivoting toward a diverse summer schedule. According to reporting by PlanetSKI, the resort is wasting no time in preparing its infrastructure for mountain bikers and golfers alike, while simultaneously setting the stage for major international sporting events.
Winter Planning and Lift Passes
For those already looking ahead to the next winter, the resort has officially opened lift pass sales as of May 1, 2026. A key takeaway for budget-conscious skiers is the pre-sale window, which offers discounted rates on season tickets until July 5, 2026. After this date, standard pricing will apply both online and at resort ticket offices. Additionally, the resort continues to prepare for the FIS World Ski Championships, with further ticket releases for the races scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026.

Summer Sports and Recreation
Crans-Montana is cementing its reputation as a year-round destination. The resort’s golf facilities are a primary attraction, with the Severiano Ballesteros course opening on May 3, 2026, followed by the Jack Nicklaus course. The Noas course remains accessible throughout the year.
For adrenaline seekers, the Bikepark season begins on June 13, 2026, coinciding with the opening of the Crans-Cry d’Er cable car. New this year is the Arnouva Flowtrail, specifically designed to help beginners gain confidence in downhill mountain biking.

Events and Festivals
The resort’s calendar is packed with local culture and major international competitions:
- Beer Trail (May 2nd): A scenic tasting event featuring local brewers with views over the Rhone Valley.
- Valais Wine Cellar Open Days (May 14-16): A chance to engage directly with local winemakers during the Ascension weekend.
- Crans-Montana Challenge (May 30th): A community-focused sports festival featuring a Colour Run and live concerts at Ycoor.
- Wildstrubel by UTMB (September 10-13): With over 5,500 entries already confirmed, this endurance event is nearing sell-out status, particularly for the Wild 70 and Wild 55 categories.
The resort will also host the Omega European Masters, with advance ticket sales currently available until July 31, 2026. Whether visiting for the athletic challenges or the local culinary scene, Crans-Montana appears positioned to maintain high activity levels well into the autumn months.
