According to a report by PlanetSKI, Iglu Ski has been crowned the top agency in the inaugural Top Ski/Snowsports Agency category at the 2026 Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) awards. The ceremony, held at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, highlighted the company's long-standing influence in the winter sports travel sector.
Managing Director Simon McIntyre accepted the award, attributing the success to the company's 27-year history of innovation and consistent service delivery. The judges emphasized that Iglu Ski distinguished itself over the past 12 months through strategic investments and a commitment to evolving the customer experience.
Key factors contributing to the win, as noted by the judging panel, include:
- A relocation to a new Wimbledon headquarters, aimed at fostering improved team collaboration and internal morale.
- The establishment of partnerships with 20 new brands to provide exclusive customer perks.
- A significant expansion of their North American hotel inventory.
- The implementation of a new online chat solution to facilitate 24/7 communication for travelers.
- A proactive approach to inclusivity, notably through staff training partnerships with Disability Snowsport UK.
Established in 1998 by Richard Downs, Iglu Ski has grown into the UK's largest ski travel agency. The company maintains a robust digital presence, offering snow reports and forecasts alongside its booking services. Beyond the recent TTG win, the agency was also recognized as the Online Travel Agency of the Year at the 2025 Agent Achievement Awards and holds a Platinum Trusted Service Award from Feefo.
