As the winter season winds down in the Canadian Rockies, Lake Louise Ski Resort continues to provide robust spring skiing opportunities. According to data provided by OnTheSnow as of April 22, the resort is maintaining a strong base heading into the final weeks of operation.

Skiers and snowboarders visiting the Banff National Park destination will find a summit base depth of 94 inches, with mid-mountain conditions sitting at 72 inches. Both areas are currently reporting packed powder conditions, offering stable, firm surfaces that are characteristic of late-season skiing in Alberta.

Operational status remains high for this time of year, with 11 of the resort's 13 lifts currently spinning. This infrastructure supports access to 124 of the resort's 170 named runs, covering a significant portion of the 4,200-acre mountain footprint. While recent snowfall has been light—with only 2 inches recorded on Thursday and no significant accumulation since—the existing base remains sufficient for those looking to get in a few final turns before the resort's projected closing date on May 3.

Lake Louise remains one of North America's most iconic destinations, known for its expansive four-mountain-face layout. Whether navigating the wide-open bowls or sticking to the groomed runs, the current conditions provide a viable experience for all ability levels. Visitors are encouraged to monitor weather forecasts, as minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are predicted for the coming days.

As always, these conditions are sourced directly from the resort and reflect the active status of the ski season. With the season closing in early May, those planning a final trip should ensure they check the official resort channels for any last-minute adjustments to lift operations or terrain status.
