As Colorado transitions out of a variable winter season, Woodward Copper has confirmed the return of its summer training operations for 2026. According to a press release from the resort, the program serves as the state's only on-snow summer camp, allowing skiers and snowboarders to maintain momentum on their technical progression during the warmer months.

The centerpiece of the summer offering is the on-mountain glacier park, situated at an elevation of 10,600 feet. This high-altitude terrain park is equipped with a surface lift and a variety of jumps, rails, and jibs. The resort is also reintroducing the Summer Hike Park in Center Village. By repurposing snow from the previous season's 22-foot superpipe, organizers create a hike-access rail garden that provides an affordable, high-frequency training environment for local riders.

For those looking for structured development, the 2026 schedule includes eight weeks of youth programming and one dedicated week for adults. The youth programs are split into 'Adventure Camp,' which balances snow time with traditional summer activities, and 'Performance Camp,' which prioritizes technical skill building. The adult session, scheduled for May 24–29, provides immersive coaching, video analysis, and access to the Woodward Barn.

A significant draw for participants is the presence of professional athletes. Woodward Copper confirmed that industry pros such as Red Gerard, Zeb Powell, Danny Davis, and Tom Wallisch are scheduled to participate in various sessions to provide mentorship. Beyond the snow, campers have access to the 19,400-square-foot Woodward Barn. This indoor facility functions as a year-round training hub, featuring foam pits, trampolines, and specialized training tools like ParkSkis and ParkBoards, which allow athletes to practice maneuvers in a controlled environment before attempting them on the hill.

The public-access Summer Hike Park and the Woodward Barn are set to open for drop-in sessions on June 5, operating Friday through Sunday. Daily access is priced at $25, with a full season pass available for $249. Interested participants can find additional details and booking information via the official Copper Mountain website.
